Stress and Anxiety Management

Stress is a part of everyday life –without some level of stress, people would not accomplish much. For example, without any deadlines there would not be much incentive for anybody to complete a project or study for an exam.  The problem is when the stress becomes overwhelming, resulting is a persistent feeling of anxiety.  Just the right amount of stress enhances performance — too much stress results in diminished performance — for example, think of competitive sports.

There are a number of stress and anxiety management techniques that do not necessarily require medication.  Please feel free to contact Dr. Bernstein to discuss these options further.
